30 Day Yoga challenge

Sept 15th will start our 30 day Yoga Challenge. "Like" Fitness with Jamie on FaceBook and post daily that you completed the days pose and any other exercise that you pair with this (if you choose to do more, not necessary but fun to share with others).  A winner of the challenge will be picked at the end.

This will be very difficult for some, but I think will be a fun one to do and a nice break from our past challenges. Just mimic the picture for the day, if you need further instructions, google the poses or email me I am happy to help you figure it out. This challenge you will focus on breathing and stretching. Each pose is for 30 seconds.

On your off days, I challenge you to do at least 20 mins of cardio, whether it is walking, running, biking, swimming, cleaning the house, doing yard work, an exercise video etc.

Some of these yoga poses will be super challenging and that is okay. They are only 30 seconds, so breath, enjoy the stretch and do the best you can. Laugh if you want, I know when doing days 26-29  I sometimes fall over, at that point I laugh, what else can I do?  Unless you are super flexible some of these will be difficult, and you will not be able to stretch as far as the picture shows (like 27.. no way I can go that far back).   At the end of this challenge you will feel taller and more flexible.   Yoga calms me which I love, so I hope you like it as well.

When you find some poses that give you a really good stretch, mark them so you can do these on a regular basis.  As some of these you will find very beneficial and some you may not.  2, 3, 9, 12  and 26 are some of my fave, I get such a great stretch and I love 1 for meditating.

Don't worry, I already have an idea for the next challenge for you and it will be way more intense so try to enjoy the low intensity of this one!

And here is your challenge:

Have a very fit day!

  2. How do the logistics work? Is it all poses every day or on any given day, whichever pose corresponds to that day? Thanks!

    1. It is one pose each day, the pose that corresponds with the day you are on.
It is meant to ease you into yoga and supplement your work out regime. Does that help??
